At 15 years old (2015), confused with the world, and my place in it, I decided to create a living memorabilia in my childhood bedroom. Post-it notes,
e v e r y w h e r e
Why?
I’m erratic, unpredictable, and constantly marvelling at the world I find myself in.
My despair is not being able to express this to others.
Therefore, unknowingly, I started creating a living representation of myself.
In doing this I began to understand myself better and be able to express this ‘self’ to others better.
Anything of significance,
Anything that resonated . . .
How?
When this resonance resonated (?) I would immediately whip out my phone and add this extract of life to my notes.
Next (a bit like Dumbledore when he extracts thoughts from his mind into that floaty, spinny bowl thing) I would sit painstakingly at my desk and write out these thoughts with multi-coloured sharpies.
Then I would write the source and the date on the back, liberally apply blue tack and stick it to my walls.
At the time of writing, I have over 1000 notes in the ‘Thought Wall’ folder of my phone, now it’s time to take it virtual:
